Once known as Aeschynanthus marmoratus, it is a trailing tropical houseplant admired for its cascading stems and uniquely patterned foliage in deep green with rich purple undersides. When mature, it can produce tubular orange-red blooms that contrast beautifully against its dark leaves, making it a standout in hanging baskets or elevated planters.

Care

Light: Prefers bright to indirect light

Temperature: This plant will thrive at temperatures of 62-85F.

Water: Drench thoroughly then allow the top 1 inch of soil to dry out before watering again. Water less frquently in winter months when the plant's growth slows.

Humidity: High. To raise the humidity around your plant, place the pot in a shallow saucer full of pebbles. Add water to the saucer until the pebbles are almost submerged. This will create a humid environment for the plant.
